David Young, President of the Bituminous Coal Operators Association (left); Jack Gerard, President and CEO of the National Mining Association; and Dave D. Lauriski, MSHA Assistant Secretary; formalized a collaborative alliance in September to foster a culture of injury prevention and dedicate the necessary resources to address the prevailing safety and health challenges of the mining industry.
