A 23 year-old West Virginia man died in a fall at a rock quarry while hunting. The victim was attempting to climb out of a rock quarry in Harrison County, WV after retrieving a deer when he fell 70 feet into a mud pit.

The victim’s stepfather tried to rescue him but couldn’t reach him and had to be rescued himself by emergency officials. High angle rescue teams and other emergency crews took hours to retrieve the victim and his stepfather from the quarry.
