Two Injured in Sledding Accident in Quarry

A man and a woman were seriously injured in a sledding accident after sliding 200 feet into a steep rock quarry in the town of Medary, WI. Rescuers had a “great deal of difficulty” getting to the area where the accident occurred due to the heavy snow and where the pair wound up. Rescuers reached the pair, who authorities said were incapacitated by their injuries, after about 20 minutes, but the victims were not pulled out of the quarry until about an hour later.
