On September 13th, Mark Schultz and Debbie Tomko visited South Park Middle School in South Park, Pennsylvania to speak about mine safety utilizing the “Stay Out – Stay Alive” program. Fifth graders learned about the many dangers that various types of mines present and the dangers associated with those mines. Also, they were shown protective gear worn by MSHA personnel and how it helps them to safely perform their jobs.
